G'Son is a PhD student in the Department of Communication. His interests traverse through social media, media effects, and political communication. His research dissects the consequences of affective polarization and the challenges faced by minority communities in the online sphere. Employing a blend of quantitative and qualitative tools, he leverages critical and interpretive frameworks to illuminate the dynamics of public discourse in this hyper-polarized online environment.
Beyond academia, G'Son is an award-winning photographer and his works have been showcased in over 10 countries around the world. He is a former Adanauer Fellow with KAS Media Asia for his photojournalistic excellence.
